It Is Now Law!
Since the introduction of WAHR (Working At Height Regulations)
on the 6th of April 2005, it has become a legal requirement for employers
to provide adequate Health and Safety training for their employees. Failure
of an employer to provide adequate training can make them liable to prosecution,
including heavy fines and even imprisonment. For more information

Falls from Height Figures:
In 2004/05 53 people died and nearly 3800 suffered a serious injury as a result of a fall from height in the workplace. Falls from height are the most common cause of fatal injury and the second most common cause of major injury to employees, accounting for around 15% of all such injuries. All industry sectors are exposed to the risks presented by this hazard although the level of incidence varies considerably.

Course Aim
At the end of the one day course delegates will have an understanding
of the current legislation and be able to dismantle, erect and inspect
a tower scaffold that has been designed to BS1139/ BSEN 1004 safely, and
understand their safety requirements and characteristics as per the manufacturer's
instructions.
Certification
Successful completion of the course will result in the issue
of a copy of the PASMA Code of Practice, and a PASMA encapsulated photo
ID card verifying certification, which is valid for five years.
