Where is Active Rentals based?
We are in based in Hamilton just south of Glasgow.

Do you hire Cherry Pickers?
We do, although they are officially known as Straight or Articulated booms. They range from 38 ft to 131 ft working heights.

Do you hire Scissor Lifts?
We do, they range from 25 ft to 60 ft working.

Do you hire Telescopic handlers?
We do, they range from 9 Metres to 17 Metres.

Can you deliver for 8.00am in the morning?
We can, if pre-arranged.

Do you deliver at weekends?
We can, if pre-arranged.

Do you hire for 1 day?
We do, we can negotiate an all in job price.

Do you need trained to operate a Powered Access Machine?
WAHR (Working At Height Regulations 2005) stipulates that the employer must provide suitable training to all height workers. The IPAF PAL Card is universally recognised as the best form of proving that you are trained to operate that particular category of Access Machine.

Can we have a machine that does not break down?
Active Rentals cannot guarantee that any machine hired will not malfunction, although Active Rentals ensure that every machine is PDI’d by our CAP Card holding engineers before it is dispatched to site. Active Rentals machines are also issued with a 6 monthly inspection certificate that comply with the LOLAR regulations. (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998)

What power options do you have?
Active Rentals has Diesel and Electric options on both Scissors and Booms

Do you have battery scissor lifts that last all day?
Active Rentals have machines that have a 12hour battery duty cycle so they will last as long as you can.

Can we open an account?
You can, subject to status and within a hour.

Do you provide non marking tyres?
We can, on selected models, or we can provide wheel coves on the larger machines.

Can you deliver anywhere?
Active Rentals depot is strategically placed to service the Access requirements of Central Scotland. We also have reciprocal arrangement with other access company the length and breadth of the UK, so we can truly offer National Coverage.

How long does a full tank of fuel last?
It is very difficult to give an estimate as it depends on usage but normally on average approximately 1 week.

How much can I lift on a platform?
The capacities depend on the type of platform but you should always follow the loads recommended which should be evenly distributed, they can be found in the manual.
