WorkCover investigates fall from height incident

WorkCover is investigating an incident where a 70 year-old-man died after falling 20 metres from a swing stage scaffold while working at Maroubra Seals Sports and Community Club today.
It is understood the man and a co-worker were undertaking painting work at the rear of the club when it appears that one end of the suspended scaffolding collapsed just after 2pm.
The other worker sustained minor injuries.
WorkCover has sent three inspectors to the site and will conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
